A man indicted in Bordeaux after an accident and a hit and run

Wednesday evening, shortly after 9 p.m., an 18-year-old pedestrian was hit by a motorist on Quai de Lawton, an axis that runs along the Bassins afloat in Bordeaux.

He fled after the accident and was actively sought by investigators.

"Clearly inebriated"

This Friday, the Bordeaux prosecutor's office confirms to

that a person is presented to the investigating judge this Friday evening, at the end of his custody.

And this, with a view to "his indictment of the counts of involuntary injuries by the driver of a motorized land vehicle resulting in total incapacity for work for more than three months, aggravated by at least two circumstances and in particular the hit and run and manifest state of intoxication.

The Public Prosecutor's Office specifies that the respondent is known to the courts for violations of the Highway Code.

In this context, the prosecution will request placement in pre-trial detention with the judge of freedoms and detention.

The vital prognosis of the victim is still engaged this Friday evening.
