Of the persons deprived of their liberty, several are minors who have escaped from LVU accommodation.

The police have also seized several weapons and explosives.

"We are in an intense phase right now.

We are very close to the criminal individuals in the environment and assess that in the last 24 hours, but also in the past, we have been able to arrest several people who have been about to commit serious violent crimes", writes Hanna Paradis, deputy head of the regional investigation unit, on the police's website.

Those arrested are suspected of, among other things, murder and preparation for murder, public dangerous devastation, serious weapons offenses and drug offences.

The police in the Stockholm region also work closely together with other police regions.

Recently, other police regions have also intervened against crimes committed in Stockholm.

"The reinforcement we received is of great help in the strained situation we are in," writes Hanna Paradis.

Three arrested for bombing

The prosecutor's office writes at the same time that three people are in custody for involvement in the bombing that took place in Kista on January 18.

One person in addition to the three detainees must also be arrested for involvement in both the Coffin attack and the bombing that took place on Södermalm a day earlier.

"The preliminary investigation of both of these events is in an intensive stage and neither the police nor the prosecutor can, in addition to this, provide any further comments about the investigation at this time," writes chamber prosecutor Carl Mellberg on the website of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
