In the latest in a series of Swedish military support packages, it was announced that Sweden will donate the requested Archer artillery system to Ukraine, which Zhovkva welcomes.

- It makes a huge difference on the battlefield, he says.

At the same time, more is needed if Ukraine is to be able to win the war, he believes.

Among other things, more combat vehicles are needed to be able to continue regaining Ukrainian territory, but also more ways to fight Russian cruise robots.

- You can stop the robots in two ways - anti-aircraft systems and fighter jets, says Ihor Zhovkva.

"Corruption not eradicated"

This year, Sweden holds the presidency of the EU, a union of which Ukraine wants to become a full member.

But the very extensive corruption in the country is an obstacle.

However, Zhovkva believes that the Ukrainian anti-corruption operation is working well.

- I cannot say that corruption has been wiped out 100 percent from Ukraine.

But the system works, even in wartime, he says.

He believes that the outside world need not be worried that military and financial support will end up in the wrong pockets.

- It is forbidden to abuse the international support during wartime, that is something we will not do.
