- We hope it will be very good, says Emma Nordebo Snygg, city architect at Hudiksvall municipality.

She explains that the facade cladding made of wood and plastic will have lighting, the intensity and color tone of which can be controlled in different shifts.

She also believes that the dark wooden facade will contrast with the adjacent white office building.

When the parking garage was erected last spring, many Hudik residents felt that the sea view had been snuffed out.

A petition was made to prevent what is perceived as "a wall against the sea" from being repeated in the construction of the new district in Västra hamnen.

The city architect: "the height of the parking garage is necessary against the noise"

But Emma Nordebo Snygg defends the height of the parking garage by saying that it is needed as a sound barrier for the tall residential buildings behind the parking garage.

With a low sound barrier and the usual standards against noise, you could only have built low villas and it would not have been possible to take advantage of the fine location by the sea.

The municipality's vision is to grow in terms of population.

She also believes that Hudik residents have started to get used to the sight of the parking garage.

- It becomes more part of the cityscape that you pass by every day and becomes less offensive every day, says Emma Nordebo Snygg.

A Hudikbo who passes by the parking garage with his dog Elton appreciates the new look of the parking garage.

- We think it will be nice and fits in with Hudik, says Stephanie Lack.
