From the lawsuit that was submitted to the district court in Nyköping on Thursday, it appears that the two men, a man in his 40s and a man in his 55s, were at odds.

A few weeks before the fateful night when the knife cut occurred, the younger man is said to have abused the older man by hitting him on the head so that pain and gore occurred.

In the evidence the prosecutor refers to, there is also a recording where the younger man threatens the older one and mentions, among other things, that they should meet with knives.

On October 17 last year, a confrontation arose which, according to the indictment, ended with the suspect stabbing the elderly man in the stomach with a knife.

The injuries that occurred are considered in the prosecution to have been life-threatening.

The suspect was arrested later that evening and has been in custody since the end of October.

He is now charged as a suspect for attempted murder and assault.

In questioning, he has denied the crime.
