Mistral and tramontana will however continue to blow in gusts of 60 to 70 km/h, up to 90 km/h towards Roussillon.

From Pas-de-Calais to Normandy, to Brittany and then to the Pays de la Loire, short spells and cloudy periods will alternate.

Rare showers on the Channel coasts

Rare rain showers will occur on the Channel coasts.

More regular snowfall will occur in the north of the Massif Central, the Tarn, the Toulouse region, the Gers and the Pyrenees.

A layer of 5 to 10 cm of fresh snow may eventually form on the Montagne Noire and on a large part of the foothills.

The soils may whiten a little in places down to the plain.

Minimum temperatures will range from 1 to 3 degrees in the northwest, locally 4 to 6 on the Channel and Brittany coasts.

It will be between -2 and 1 in general over the rest of the country, locally -3 to -5 on the first heights and in the interior of Provence.

The maximum will show 7 to 12 degrees on the Mediterranean border, 5 to 8 from Normandy and Brittany to Aquitaine, between 1 and 5 elsewhere.
