Six people suspected of participation in murder plans of five people are now being charged.

Several of the defendants have connections to the so-called Gottsunda network, which was put on trial on suspicion of extensive drug trafficking.

The murder plans were discovered in the analysis of encrypted chats from the app Sky ECC that French police came across and handed over to Sweden.

The police and prosecutors have since investigated for a year.

The strike then took place in a dawn raid at several locations in Uppsala.

- Without the Sky chats, we would not have gotten anywhere because they are the cornerstone of the investigation, says Thomas Forsberg, prosecutor.

According to the prosecutor, the group has come a long way in the murder plans.

A then 18-year-old man is said to have kept watch at the alleged main target's residence with a loaded weapon.

- You can say that the target was lucky that it was not completed, says Thomas Forsberg.

"Nobody wanted to do it themselves"

- Nobody has wanted to do it themselves, but has tried to get shooters.

And one person undertakes to do it, it's about a Stockholm guy.

Two of the suspects for the murder plans are also charged together with other suspects for particularly serious drug crimes.

In total, it involves the handling of over 200 kilos of narcotics and where the two are suspected of having been in control.

It is mainly about amphetamines.

- It has definitely been wholesalers - in total it is about 200 kilos, says Thomas Forsberg.

The lawyer: He denies

Thomas Olsson defends one of the suspected ringleaders.

- He denies the crime and we want to develop the reasons for that during the trial and not go into it today, he says.

Some people are also prosecuted for having bought larger lots which they in turn resold.

A total of 13 people are charged in the case.

The trial is expected to begin on February 7 and end in March.
