The President stated this during a conversation with students of Moscow State University during a visit to the Lomonosov cluster.
“These elites often serve not their own national interests, but the interests of third countries,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Putin clarified that at the same time, “rethinking is still happening.”
Earlier, Putin said that the West lied about peace in Ukraine, was preparing for aggression, and is now talking about it openly.
In November, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow had no illusions about changing the attitude of American elites towards Russia.
