Several people have already been sentenced for involvement in the kidnapping.
The man who is now indicted was abroad at the time of the previous trial.
He is suspected of being the mastermind behind the kidnapping and has also been charged with a number of other serious crimes, including drug smuggling.
Rap artist Nils "Einár" Grönberg was shot to death in Hammarby sjöstad in October 2021.
