Germany gives green light to delivery of "Leopard" tanks to Ukraine

Germany will send Leopard 2
tanks
to Ukraine and accepts that they be re-exported to Kiev by partner countries.
This was announced on Wednesday by German government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit.

The objective is the rapid creation of two battalions of
Leopard 2
tanks for Ukraine.
Berlin will initially provide 14
Leopard 2s
drawn from its stocks, the statement said.
The training of Ukrainian tankers will begin soon and Germany will provide logistics and ammunition to Ukraine, it is further indicated.
