France will withdraw its troops from Burkina Faso within a month at the request of Ouagadougou

On January 22, it became known that the government of Burkina Faso denounced the agreement on the presence of the French Armed Forces.

On October 1, 2022, Le Faso reported that a military coup took place in Burkina Faso, as a result of which Lieutenant Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba was overthrown.

The authorities there also ordered the suspension of the French radio station Radio France Internationale (RFI) and the distribution of its programs throughout the country.
