“We also have Leopards in Finland, and we believe that if there is a common package – now, hopefully, Germany will be part of this package – we are ready to participate,” Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat quoted him as saying.
Haavisto added that sending the Leopard 2 would mean "the need to train tank crews".
Earlier, Spain decided to join the supply of Leopard 2 tanks to the Ukrainian military.
On January 24, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz decided to send Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine.
