The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Domestic Labor Affairs, Abdullah Ali Al-Nuaimi, stated that the wage protection system for domestic workers, which will officially enter into force as of next April, aims to provide protection for both parties to the contractual relationship, whether the employer who guarantees documenting the payment of the dues and salaries of the workers. He added, “With the start of the implementation of this system, workers within the five categories must register in the wage protection system compulsorily, with the exception of the assistant worker who has a labor complaint pending before the court and does not work for the employer, the assistant worker against whom a report of interruption of work has been registered, and the domestic worker.” The new one within a period of 30 days from the date of the start of his employment contract.

With regard to bank fees or that exchange offices will charge in exchange for WPS services, Al-Nuaimi confirmed that the ministry held several sessions with officials in a large group of approved exchange companies and offices, to discuss the services and options that these offices will provide to their clients of domestic workers, as well as the fees that You will charge her for this service, indicating that the ministry has verified and reassured that these fees will be “very low”, whether when receiving the salary directly from the exchange office or when transferring a bank.
