The trial of a real punitive expedition opens this Tuesday in Roanne.

The case ?

A father allegedly assaulted a young unaccompanied minor who entered his daughter's room last October.

If the father did not contest the facts, there are still many questions in this case.

The facts took place on October 20, 2022. A 16-year-old isolated minor broke into a house in Roanne, in the Loire, in the middle of the night, and allegedly sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl who was sleeping in her room.

Faced with the cries of his mother, the young miner fled.

The father, absent but joined by his wife, goes looking for him with three of his neighbors.

He reportedly beat the attacker the following day as he returned to his home, seriously injuring him.

The father does not dispute the facts and takes full responsibility for the attack, while the trial of this expedition opens this Tuesday in Roanne.

Five convictions for the father before the attack

As soon as he was in police custody, this 28-year-old father alone assumed the blows against his daughter's attacker: the beating and the violent blows with an electric cable while the victim was on the ground.

On the other hand, the other three people deny, for their part, any act of violence.

The criminal record of the girl's father already includes five convictions, including one in 2014 to four years in prison, including one year suspended.

He had robbed a bar-tobacco in the city with three accomplices whose names he never revealed.

Up to seven years in prison

However, the file which opens this Tuesday is far from over since there are still many gray areas.

First, there is the age of the attacker of Guinean origin who claims to be a minor.

Questions also relate to the facts themselves, since the suspect still denies having sexually assaulted the little girl.

A judicial investigation was therefore opened by the Roanne prosecution to clarify all these points.

Additional investigations are underway, including DNA analysis.
