The purpose of the project is to broaden the authority within children and the board of education.
The board has set aside funds, but there is also government money to finance the project with part-time studies.
In autumn 2022, Gällivare only had 53 percent qualified teachers, which gives the municipality a bottom ranking in the country.
The head of the school has previously stated that it is even a problem to find unauthorized teachers.
Paid education
The teachers receive a reduction in their position in order to be able to study and still get paid.
The studies include the final part of teacher training, special teacher studies and individual courses in the teaching field.
- It is important for us to have competent teachers.
