The fact that it has become more difficult to get hold of a doctor has meant that local care has had to hire doctors to the smaller health centres.

- We are grateful that the option exists to rent, because then you also ensure the working environment for the regular doctors at the health center and that is important to have availability, says Anna Sofia Jansson who is director of community care in Region Västmanland.

According to Anna Sofia Jansson, forty percent of primary care in Västmanland is run by the region, the rest is private.
