“Vyacheslav Shapovalov, who was responsible for the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, asked to be released so as not to pose a threat to the stable supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a result of a campaign of accusations related to the purchase of food services,” the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry says.
It is noted that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov supported the request of his deputy.
Earlier, Reznikov explained the inflated food prices for the Ukrainian troops, which caused a big scandal, as a "technical error."
On January 23, it also became known that the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, confirmed his resignation.
