This is stated in a statement published on the website of the Swiss Parliament.

“The Commission on Security Policy of the National Council, by 14 votes to 11, approved the proposal and the parliamentary initiative regarding the re-export of military equipment,” the release says.

It is noted that most members of the commission explained their decision by the desire to contribute to European security and support for Kyiv.

Also, according to parliamentarians, the amendments do not contradict the neutral status of Switzerland, since the supply of equipment will not be carried out by direct export.

At the same time, in November, Swiss President Ignazio Cassis said that Switzerland did not intend to supply weapons to Ukraine and was not going to directly or indirectly participate in armed conflicts.
