After equaling Lindsey Vonn and her 82 victories in early January, Shiffrin now holds the record alone, at just 27 years old.

The skier from Vail (Colorado) is only three wins away from the absolute record of Swede Ingemar Stenmark (86).

The world N.1 can reach before the Courchevel / Meribel World Championships (February 6-19) if she wins the three women's World Cup races on the program by then, Wednesday again at Kronplatz in giant slalom then Saturday and Sunday in Spindleruv Mlyn (Czech Republic) in slalom.

During the first giant of Kronplatz, she put on a show by clocking the best time of the two runs.

She is ahead of the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami by 45/100 and the Italian Federica Brignone by 1 sec 43/100.

The American is ever increasing her lead at the top of the general classification of the World Cup, spinning towards a fifth crystal globe which no longer seems to be able to escape her.

The French Tessa Worley, in search of a fifth podium on this track which she masters, where she had even won in 2021, had to settle for fifth place, 1 sec 89/100, behind Petra Vlhova ( 4th).
