“Our army continues reconnaissance in force”: the Russian military opened the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the defense lines in the Zaporozhye region

The positions of the armed formations of Ukraine were opened as a result of the offensive actions of the Russian army in the Zaporozhye region.

This was announced by the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia", a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the region Vladimir Rogov.

“Our army continues reconnaissance in combat in the Zaporozhye region.

The positions of Ukrainian troops on the first, as well as partially on the second and third lines of defense, have already been opened, ”RIA Novosti quotes him.

According to him, Ukrainian troops daily suffer heavy losses in manpower and military equipment, while the front line is gradually shifting to the north of the region.

On the eve of Rogov, he reported that the Russian military during the offensive managed to knock out units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from a number of villages, which they used as strongholds for attacking civilians living in the liberated part of the Zaporozhye region.

At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation noted that up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen, three vehicles, as well as a combat vehicle of the Grad multiple launch rocket system were liquidated in the Zaporozhye direction in a day.

Dilemma with Abrams

The US authorities have not yet made a final decision on sending Abrams tanks to Ukraine, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the White House National Security Council, told CNN.

At the same time, Chuck Callesto, a former US congressional candidate from the state of Florida, believes that Washington should send Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky not tanks, but a bill.

In turn, The Wall Street Journal columnist Daniel Samet urged the US authorities to send armored vehicles not to Ukraine, but to Taiwan, which, in his opinion, plays a more important role in ensuring the security and well-being of the United States.

In February, mortars equipped with smart sights will be tested in the zone of a special military operation in Ukraine.

This was announced by the head of the group of military advisers and the scientific and technical center "Tsar's Wolves" Dmitry Rogozin.

“These mortars in the required quantity for trial operation will be at our disposal during February.

Shelling of Donbass

Over the past 24 hours, nine civilians were injured as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, the headquarters of the territorial defense of the DPR reported.

In total, over the past 24 hours, the territory of the DPR was shelled 18 times by the Ukrainian military, who fired 120 units of various ammunition from 155 mm artillery, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine stated.
