After President Yoon Seok-yeol's remarks that "the United Arab Emirates' enemy is Iran," Iran's reaction came out for the first time as Korea and Iran summoned the other country's ambassadors.

The Korean government is trying to fix the mistake, but it's not enough in their view.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Khanani said at a regular press conference held on the 23rd local time, regarding the recent diplomatic friction with the Korean government, he is aware that the Korean government is trying to correct its mistakes, but it is enough for the Iranian government. He said he didn't.

This is the first remark that came out after President Yoon Seok-yeol's UAE remarks and after the two countries invited ambassadors residing in each other's countries, and it seems that Iran will still regard this issue as a conflict phase.

Iran brought up the issue of frozen funds again.

A spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed dissatisfaction with the Korean government's cooperation in this regard, demanding the return of about $7 billion of its funds frozen by the Korean government.

The Iranian funds frozen by Korea are the proceeds from Iran's oil sales, which were blocked when the United States withdrew from the 2018 nuclear deal with Iran and restored sanctions.

It is said to be the largest among Iran's overseas frozen assets.

A spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said, "The cooperation of the Korean government is not valuable cooperation," and "we must comply with legal responsibilities and obligations."
