The cold wave covers France.

This Monday, Météo France recorded temperatures of -7 degrees in Brittany, 1 degree in Toulouse or -9 degrees in Bourg-Saint-Maurice.

On the Bron market, in the metropolis of Lyon, the traders were there but not the customers, who stayed warm.

On the Bron market, the cold welcomed the street vendors.

This Monday morning, it was between 0 and 1 degree in the suburbs of Lyon.

Not easy for those who started work very early.

It is 6 o'clock in the morning when Slimane sets up his boxes.

Because for those who work outside, it "stings".

"And yesterday too it stung," says the trader.

"I think it was -2 or -3 in feeling. It's freezing, it's disturbing, but hey, you have to dress well."

Her colleague Mamour covered herself well to face the zero temperatures.

She runs a clothing stand next door: "I have boxer shorts, pants, a pair of socks, a fleece sweater, a Damart, a fleece jacket, a hat and a scarf!"

And that's not enough for him "I'm cold. It's hard to work in these conditions. I don't wish anyone, we really have to."

And on the market, she did not come across many customers.

But she does not hold it against the absent!

"They are warm, they are right," she says with a smile.

Guard against the cold

Although there weren't very many customers on the market this Monday morning, Karima still came well covered and with a very specific objective.

"Very warm socks because I need them. I took the train to Lyon, I waited more than an hour on the platform, so it's cold."

She cracked on a pair of sheep's wool "I think they are very warm", she notes.

And this is only the beginning: the cold will last all week in Lyon, with perhaps even a little snow forecast for next Thursday.
