“Human bodies close the gaps in their defense”: experts on the statements of the West regarding the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine suffer losses during a special military operation by Russia.

According to The Washington Post, a significant number of natives of various settlements in Western Ukraine die in the fighting. 

At the end of November, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers had died since the start of the JMD.

However, after that, the European Commission removed the words of the official from the written and video statements.

At the same time, at the end of December, retired LPR Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko reported that Kyiv was trying to hide the real losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the combat zone by banning troops and civilian structures from transporting the bodies of soldiers during daylight hours and marking the cargo.

So, in the material of The Washington Post, the head of the administration of the village of Novy Yarychev in the Lviv region, Pyotr Sokolovsky, said that 600 out of 18.5 thousand local residents are participating in hostilities.

Many of them died.

Oksana Servilo, director of the school in the village of Neslukhov in the Lviv region, also reported a large number of victims.

According to her, every day they bring the dead in the battles for Artyomovsk.

At the same time, on January 20, the German publication Der Spiegel in its material cited data from a report by the German Federal Intelligence Service, which states that the Kyiv regime is losing a three-digit number of troops per day in the battles for Artyomovsk.

This situation is alarming for the German intelligence services, since the transfer of this city under the control of Russia will negatively affect the entire line of Ukrainian defense.

Earlier, a former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, Colonel Douglas McGregor, stated that Russian troops had ground the trained reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Artyomovsk.

In his opinion, the losses of Ukrainian troops are about 150 thousand people.

At the same time, Kyiv had a total of "about 140-150 thousand combat-ready soldiers."

“Ukrainians tried to form reserves for a possible offensive in the southern direction ... These units died in Bakhmut (Artemovsk),” RIA Novosti quotes him.

Against this backdrop, Washington recommended that the Kyiv regime withdraw troops from Artyomovsk "in order to re-equip and join US-led programs."

This was reported by AFP, citing a senior US official.

On January 20, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, noted that Artyomovsk was close to the operational encirclement of Russian troops.

“After the liberation of Kleshcheevka there (in Artyomovsk. -

) new horizons open up and, I would say, a radical improvement in positions.

According to Artemovsk, we can say that the situation is close, if not to completion, then to the operational environment, ”TASS quotes him as saying.

Military observer retired colonel Viktor Litovkin, in an interview with RT, once again stated that the leaders of the Kyiv regime, acting on orders from the West, only drag out the conflict and prefer to fight to the last Ukrainian.

“Indeed, they suffer heavy losses because they throw unprepared reserves into battle.

But this is all done to prolong the operation, to delay it.

The main goal of the United States and its satellites is not the victory of Ukraine on the battlefield.

They don't need it.

They need Russia to go bankrupt.

Economically, financially.

Their main goal is to weaken Russia.

Therefore, human bodies close the gaps in their defense, ”the expert said. 

In turn, the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, Igor Korotchenko, believes that publications in the Western media will not affect how the Ukrainian command will conduct military operations.

“This will not affect the nature and severity of the fighting.
