According to him, the Russian forces are extremely well equipped while the question of supplying the Ukrainian troops arises.

Almost eleven months after the launch of the Russian offensive in Ukraine, the military confrontation between Moscow and kyiv is not weakening.

Present on the front near Bakhmout in the Donbass in Ukraine, the great reporter Régis Le Sommier agreed to describe, exclusively for Europe 1, the reality of the fighting.

Alongside Russian forces for three days, he depicts an "extremely stressful" situation.

"For three days that we have been there, it hasn't stopped, night and day", begins the journalist, questioned by Pierre de Vilno.

At the end of the line, we can easily hear the artillery fire which alone bears witness to the intensity of the duel between the two armies.

Present in a small village just 500 meters from the front line, Régis Le Sommier depicts "very intense" fighting which even shortened his last night.

"This morning, we were awakened by the explosion of a shell right next to our house," he says.
