From Monday, 600,000 copies will be available for sale, at a price of 1.80 euro.

Ten years after the death of the former head of state of South Africa, at the age of 95, a stamp will be launched to pay tribute to this figure in the fight against apartheid.

If it will be possible to buy it on Monday, it will be necessary to act quickly: only 600,000 copies will be published, at a price of 1.80 euro.

The sticker is already available in Nantes and Schiltigheim, in the Bas-Rhin, where offices have been set up for the occasion, reports 20 Minutes.

On the stamp, Nelson Mandela's face was drawn by the French street-art artist C215 and the engraver Elsa Catelin.

The choice of the green color refers to "Nelson Mandela's love for nature", details 20 Minutes.

Souvenir postcards will also be available for the occasion.

In addition to the commemoration of the death of Nelson Mandela, which occurred on December 5, 2013, the release of this stamp coincides with the anniversary of the 30 years of obtaining the Nobel Peace Prize, which he obtained jointly with another man of South African State, Frederik de Klerk, for together peacefully ending the policy of apartheid and initiating political negotiations.
