Haq noted that this was the first convoy of various agencies in the area.

“We have reached the area 12 km from Soledar, but assistance will be distributed to the population located 5 km from the city.

The convoy will deliver food, water, medical supplies,” he said.

On January 6, the UN announced that a 36-hour truce declared by Russia would give the organization the opportunity to send a convoy with humanitarian aid to people who could not previously be reached due to fighting.
