It was at Rakoegtenga in the province of Bam, about a hundred kilometers north of Ouagadougou, that the first attack hit an advanced VDP post.

Six volunteers are killed, as well as a civilian woman, according to AFP security sources.

The same day, in the province of Nayala, a little further west, an ambush is set for a convoy of soldiers and VDPs, on the Siena-Saran road.

Result: a dozen VDP and a civilian killed.

Two other incidents occur this Thursday, in the province of Sanmatenga, in the Center North.

A mixed team of soldiers and VDP is attacked by armed men in Zincko, and in the evening, terrorists raid the town of Sanaba.

Twelve civilians lose their lives.

In a press release published on Friday, the civil society movement Bam Faangre, in the province of Bam, denounced the inaction of the defense and security forces “

when the unarmed population needs them.

 "

No major operation has been launched on the shores of Lake Bam, which have become terrorist sanctuaries

 ," the statement concluded.
