  On the morning of the same day, Li Jiachao, accompanied by Mai Meijuan, Director of the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau of the SAR Government, and Zhang Zhao Kaiyu, Director of the Home Affairs Department of the SAR Government, visited Changheng Village to visit the elderly living alone.

During the period, Li Jiachao sent New Year blessing bags to the elders and helped them post "Hui Chun" (Spring Festival couplets) at home.

Afterwards, Li Jiachao and his group came to the street market of Changheng Village, stopped by a "Hui Chun" stall, and chatted with merchants and citizens.

He also selected some blessings for the Year of the Rabbit and Spring Festival couplets for the elderly living alone.

  Later, Li Jiachao introduced the visit itinerary on social media and said that Hong Kong is the city with the longest life expectancy in the world. Many elderly people live and age in the community with the support of their families or the SAR government.

In his policy address, he proposed to improve elderly services, such as expanding the number of beneficiaries of the "Pilot Scheme on Community Care Service Vouchers for the Elderly" and increasing the amount of medical care vouchers for the elderly.
