Åse Sundström from Racksund is passionate about moose hunting, and during her 15 years as a moose hunter, she has managed to bring down a 22-thorn, among other things.

But when the hunt is over and the moose migration begins, it is Åse who takes care of the animals.

- My interest in moose is only growing.

They are such incredibly powerful animals, says Sundström.

The moose walk finally started

Right now there are a lot of moose in Arjeplog.

The annual moose migration started later, and that was because the winter was initially very snow-poor.

- The moose only came down from the mountain world in mid-December, but that was good because the ice was stable then.

I believe and hope that everyone has managed, says Åse Sundström.

Scouting every day

The moose walk is something Åse looks forward to.

When it starts, she goes out with the car once or twice a day to scout for moose.

- Once I saw fourteen moose crossing the strait next to where I live in Racksund.

What a great experience!

In the clip, you see Hälge the bull moose strolling in the housing estates in Arjeplog - and hear Åses tell about his great passion.
