The new C8 E-Ray indeed embeds its 163 hp electric motor on the front axle which supports the 6.2 liter V8 of 500 hp.

The combined power thus reaches 654 hp, which is lower than the 675 hp of the Z06, but the E-Ray is nevertheless faster.
Thanks to its four-wheel drive and the immediate torque of the electric motor, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds.
Unfortunately, hybridization leads to excess weight (batteries between the front seats) which brings the balance to more than 1.7 tonnes.
Available in coupe and convertible, this E-Ray is billed at almost the same price as the Z06, or $105,000.
Its importation into Europe has not yet been decided.
