"The heads of the military departments discussed the ongoing set of strategic deterrence measures, as well as the progress in the preparation of the regional grouping of troops (forces)," the ministry said in a statement.
As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized, cooperation between Moscow and Minsk in the defense sphere makes it possible to counter any threats.
On January 19, the air units of Russia and Belarus began to perform tasks as part of the exercises of the regional grouping of forces.
