Two 25-year-old men were indicted and imprisoned on Friday, the Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) prosecution told Le
Parisien
.
Suspected of raping a Canadian tourist in La Défense, the suspects were found after one of them went to hospital for a penis bite caused by his alleged victim.
Confused by DNA traces
The facts would have occurred at the end of August 2022. The tourist, who was returning from a party, had come to the aid of a woman harassed by the defendants on a bus.
Dissatisfied, the latter would then have followed him when he got off to go to his hotel.
The suspects would have first tried to steal his handbag before forcing him to perform oral sex.
The Canadian then violently bit his attacker who ended up fleeing with his accomplice.
A few hours later the man went to the hospital for treatment.
After investigations, it turned out that his DNA matched that found on the alleged victim.
Placed in police custody, the duo denied the facts of rape and mentioned a consensual sexual relationship.
