Measured boycott by Pere Aragonès of the celebration of the Spanish-French summit in Barcelona.

After making an appearance at the formal greeting to Emmanuel Macron, and knowing that his role ended after the reception, the president of the Generalitat left the conclave before the anthems of Spain and France sounded and that the French president and Pedro Sánchez will review the troops.

The departure of the head of the Catalan Executive was facilitated by the Government:

Moncloa

and the

Generalitat

negotiated until late yesterday the way in which Aragonès was going to leave the scene, in which

Ada Colau

did remain , who avoided accompanying Aragonès in his escape.

During a conversation of about 10 minutes prior to the military honors, and before disappearing in his official car, Aragonès has transferred to Sánchez that the independence process "has not finished".

And, while shaking Macron's hand, the president of the Generalitat told him that Catalonia "wants to be a European partner."

The rudeness occurred while the ERC leader, Oriol Junqueras, warned Sánchez in identical terms from the pro-independence demonstration against the summit that "the conflict has not ended and will not end until the whole of Catalan society can vote", that is, until the Government authorizes a secession referendum.

"Nothing has ended here because the repression continues," Junqueras added after the reform of the Penal Code is not offering the expected results after Judge

Pablo Llarena

and the Prosecutor's Office were neutralized to prevent the free return of the fugitive

Carles Puigdemont

and the rehabilitation of the disabled president of ERC.
