The head of an accounting firm from Hérouville-Saint-Clair (Calvados) appeared before the Caen court on Tuesday.

He was being prosecuted for tax evasion after a complaint filed in 2020 by the Public Finance Department, reports

A reduction in turnover or even a failure to declare company vehicles were in particular reproached to the defendant, who would also have passed charges relating to the private sector: a nautical GPS, door frames and an alarm for a dwelling.

The fraud would exceed 115,000 euros.

30,000 euros fine required

The boss, who explained that he had reimbursed everything with penalties, assured that he had never wanted to "bias the taxman", advancing rather a "lack of vigilance".

The public prosecutor considered that the facts were not accidental.

He requested a fine of 30,000 euros and the dissemination of the sentence.

Judgment has been reserved for February 28.
