Ukrainian Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky was killed in a helicopter crash near Kyiv on Wednesday morning.
And the Ukrainian police announced that 16 people, including the Ukrainian Minister of Interior and two children, were killed as a result of the helicopter crash near a kindergarten on Wednesday morning in an area in the Brovary region near the capital, Kyiv.
"We have information about 16 dead people, including two children," the police said in a statement.
It also referred in its statement to the killing of the Minister of Interior, his first assistant and another senior official who were on board the helicopter.
