China News Service, January 19 (Xinhua) Comprehensive foreign media reports, the US State Department confirmed on the 18th local time that two US citizens and two legal permanent residents were among the victims of the Yeti Airlines passenger plane that crashed in Nepal on the 15th.

  According to reports, State Department spokesman Price confirmed that there were four U.S. citizens and permanent residents on board, but did not disclose their identities.

  Price said at a regular press conference: "Our thoughts are with the families of those on board. At this difficult time, the United States stands ready to support Nepal in any way possible."

  Earlier reports said the plane's passengers were from India, Russia, South Korea, Ireland, Australia, Argentina and France, when no Americans were reported dead in Nepal's deadliest plane crash in 30 years.

  A passenger plane of Nepal Yeti Airlines crashed near the Seti River Gorge in Pokhara, central Nepal, on the 15th.

The crashed flight carried a total of 68 passengers and 4 crew members. So far, the remains of 71 victims have been found.

The black box of the downed airliner has been found and the Nepalese government will send the data recorder to France as part of an investigation.
