  • Investigation The crime of little Mohamed in Ceuta: indications of sexual assault after two days of autopsy

The Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in

Ceuta

this Wednesday for the crime of

Mohamed

, the 8-year-old boy who was found dead in a field last December with signs of violence.

As EL MUNDO

has learned

, the man is already in police stations and the arrest has been made after a thorough investigation.

The detainee is Spanish and, according to the police sources consulted, he has no relationship with the family or with the minor.

Mohamed was found dead in a field, without pants and with a blow to the head.

The child also had injuries of varying degrees in some parts of his body, the origin of which has yet to be determined.

The results of the autopsy determined a violent death.

Mohamed said goodbye to his parents at around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, after telling them that he was going to play soccer with his friends, a routine he repeated daily.

He has not yet revealed whether he came to meet them or never made it to the sports center where they met.

Alarmed by the little boy's tardiness, two hours later the family began to get restless.

It was not normal for Mohamed to be so late without warning, especially when there was school the next day.

His parents and his three older brothers began looking for him in the neighborhood, a recently built urban center located next to the Ceuta hospital, where everyone knows each other.

They combed the streets, nearby sports facilities and also went to the house of the child's friends.

After certifying that the search for him was completely unsuccessful, at 1:00 a.m., Mohamed's father went to the police station to report the disappearance.

The police force was then activated to find him and at 07:00 the next morning the body was found in a field.

The agents were able to reach him after discovering the child's pants on top of some bushes in the open field.

Mohamed had a blow to the head and was badly bruised.

The National Police cordoned off the area pending the arrival of the judicial authority as well as the forensic doctor.

The

Investigating Court number 6

of Ceuta then decreed the secrecy of the proceedings.

From the first moment, the investigators were certain that Mohamed's death was a violent death -in no case accidental- due to the wound to his head and the bruises to the rest of his body, in addition to the arrangement in which he was placed. found the body.

The fact that he appeared half-naked helped them close that first hypothesis, which is now the main one.
