The police crack down on workplace crime in Jönköping

- I cannot go into exactly which activities it is about because it is an ongoing operation, says Priya G Eklund, police spokesperson.

The effort is a collaboration between nine different authorities: the Police, the Work Environment Agency, the Tax Agency, the Ecocrime Agency, the Employment Agency, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Migration Agency, the Equality Agency and the Public Prosecutor's Office.

The task of controlling and preventing workplace crime comes from the government.

- We make unannounced visits to various workplaces in Jönköping to detect crimes, but also to prevent people ending up in workplace crime, says Priya G Eklund.

The police expect to present the results of the operation shortly.
