This Thursday, various rallies are planned in more than 200 French cities to protest against the pension reform.

Rail and air transport are expected to be very disrupted and a majority of primary school teachers plan to go on strike.

In Lyon, Europe 1 attended the final preparations of the CFDT.

On the side of the CFDT in Lyon, preparations are well underway on the eve of the big day of mobilization against the pension reform.

Gatherings are planned in more than 200 cities across the country.

Katia Beau, general secretary of the trade union confederation supervised the manufacture of the signs which will be used Thursday in the Lyon parade.

Outside, the activists prepare the truck equipped with a sound system which will parade at the head of the procession.

"Something is happening" 

"It's the main truck with the sound system to get our messages across. It's an unfair reform. There is very strong dissatisfaction in companies and administrations. Ecully in particular but also the construction with Vinci. We really feel that there, something is happening", assures Sonia Pacaud, departmental manager of the CFDT.

This Thursday, several thousand demonstrators are expected in Lyon.

With however the fear, on the union side, that the snowfall, announced for the morning, will deter some from coming to express their opposition to the reform.
