According to the results of the survey, about 48% of the respondents in the nine countries said they were in favor of Ukraine making compromises to end the crisis quickly, while only 32% did not support Ukraine's peaceful concessions.
The report pointed out that most people in Germany are skeptical of EU military aid.
60% of the German respondents agree that the Ukrainian side should compromise and end the tension as soon as possible.
Public opinion diverges sharply from the official position of the German government, which has been one of the EU's more generous supporters of military aid to Ukraine.
The poll also shows that only 38% of the respondents in Greece and Italy support the continued supply of arms to Ukraine, while 60% of the respondents in Greece and 50% in Italy clearly express their opposition to military aid. manner.
At the same time, Greece and Italy are also among the countries least supportive of EU sanctions against Russia.
Only 29% of Greeks and 31% of Italians approve of EU sanctions against Russia.
Previously, EU leaders had promised to provide Ukraine with all the assistance it needs.
