Investigations are underway, to try to find the author of a false bomb alert, at the Jean-Mermoz high school, in Montpellier (Hérault), reports France Bleu Hérault.

On Tuesday afternoon, the establishment received a call from an individual, indicating that an explosive device had been placed in one of the buildings.

The 3,000 students were immediately evacuated.

Deminers, supported by sniffer dogs, specialists in detecting bombs, were dispatched to the site to inspect the school.

In the end, nothing was found.

The device was lifted around 6 p.m., the station continues.
