After the passage of storm Gérard on Monday over the north of the country, France will be crossed on Tuesday by a depression accompanied by strong winds, in the south of the country.

Thus, 17 departments are placed in orange vigilance by Météo France.

Four of them are for strong winds, and nearly ten of them for snow and ice.

Wind, rain-flood, snow-ice, waves... Météo France places 17 French departments on orange alert this Tuesday due to various weather events.

After the Gérard storm, it is now the Fien storm, which affects the south-west of the country, which worries the organization.

In detail, four departments in the area are placed on orange alert for strong winds: Hautes-Pyrénées, Gers, Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

These last two are also placed under vigilance rains and floods, just like the two departments of Corsica.

The Isle of Beauty will also be affected by an orange waves and submersion vigilance.

Further north, the "Fien" depression will cause heavy snowfall.

Thus, nearly ten departments are placed on orange alert for snow and ice: Lozère, Cantal, Isère, Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Ain, Yonne, Côte d'Or, Dawn and Haute Marne.
