Ten days after a serious road accident which occurred in Martigné-Briand (Maine-et-Loire), a young man involved in the collision died.

Aged 18, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, said Eric Bouillard, public prosecutor, quoted by

Ouest-France

.

This is the second person killed in this accident.

On the day of the incident, January 6, the victim was in a Clio which collided with another vehicle at the intersection of departmental road 748 and a street.

Three other occupants were with him in the car.

One of them, a 17-year-old boy, died instantly.

Another had been slightly injured.

The last of the four friends had not been touched but he was in a state of shock when help arrived.

This was also the case for the two people in the other car.

An investigation had been opened.

The prosecutor explained that he was waiting for "checks" and "expertise" to understand the circumstances of the accident.
