IVO criticism of care for the elderly in Ydre - Social manager "we have areas for improvement"

IVO has reviewed several municipalities around the country and none of the municipalities, including Ydre, meet the applicable requirements.

- In general, IVO can state that the minimum level of care at SÄBO is unacceptably low, says Anna Karin Nyqvist, head of unit at IVO, in a statement.

Lacks on all points

After IVO's review, the authority was able to establish that Ydre municipality's care in special housing for the elderly is lacking on all points.

The review covered the staff's competence, documentation, medication management and end-of-life care.

IVO writes, among other things, "... life-changing assessments of patients at SÄBO are made by the staff who have the lowest level of education.
