It was at the end of last week that the police were alerted that a man in his 20s had been kidnapped, the mother raised the alarm after she was demanded money for the son's release.
Found abused
Great resources were put into the search and several house searches were carried out in Gothenburg, Falkenberg and Varberg.
When the man was found, he was beaten and had to be taken to hospital for a check-up.
However, he should not have suffered any life-threatening injuries.
Several have been requested to be detained
Five men have been detained since Saturday and on Tuesday afternoon the prosecutor requested four of them be detained, according to Hallands Nyheter.
Several of them are natives of Varberg and Falkenberg.
The prosecutor tells the newspaper that more people have been arrested in the case.
Currently, there are a total of nine people who the police suspect are involved in the kidnapping drama, but there are suspicions that even more may be involved.
