The municipal council was at the meeting in Råneå and there were also representatives from Luleå local transport (LLT) and Länstrafiken Norrbotten.

Fredrik Hansson (S) admits that there must be a change

- It is clear that we need to do something with public transport, but what that is I will leave unsaid.

Now it is important to listen to what the residents of Råneborn think and think, he says.

Bigger problems than new buses

Hansson says that new buses will operate the routes in the spring.

But he points out at the same time that the problem and challenges are bigger than that.

- This with the frequency of trips is also something that we understand we need to review, he says.

Unclear if LLT will take over the Råneå section

Since municipally owned LLT runs to Rutvik, among other things, there were voices at the meeting who would like to see them also run the route to Råneå.

- Part of the agreement in the new political majority is to look at LLT's opportunities to drive in rural areas.

And LLT has been tasked with looking into it, says Fredrik Hansson.
