The day before yesterday (15th), it was found that the pilot of an aircraft that crashed near Pokhara International Airport in Nepal tried to change the runway just before landing.

A spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said: "The pilot of the accident aircraft wanted to land on a runway other than the originally assigned runway."

["No distress call...everything seemed normal before landing clearance"]

Also, "I didn't receive any distress calls from the aircraft right before the accident" and "everything seemed normal until landing clearance at the new international airport." A spokesperson explained.

The new international airport in Pokhara and the nearby domestic airport each have one runway, and the plane crashed into a canyon between the two airports.

Some experts pointed out structural problems]

Some experts pointed out that there may be structural problems because the distance between the two airports is only 2 km, and they are arranged vertically and horizontally.

In addition, some point out that aircraft defects or stalls due to failure to maintain lift may have caused the accident.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said it had checked similar aircraft types in the country and found no technical defects.
