Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered two dead bodies in front of a house, a third on the doorstep, then three other victims inside, including a man who died in hospital.

A total of six people were killed overnight Sunday through Monday in Goshen, rural central California, including a 17-year-old mother and her six-month-old baby.

A “targeted” attack, according to the sheriff of Tulare, who suspects a gang-related shooting.

“This was very personal, and we also believe this was a message being sent.”

“We don't think it's an act of indiscriminate violence.

It was particularly targeted, personal.

We think it was to send a message,” Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said at the scene Monday morning.

Two men suspected of having opened fire are wanted by the authorities.

The targeted residence had been the subject of a search for a drug case last week.
