The latest to receive the award was Malmö, which received it for its collaboration between university, student union and city.

To earn the award, the city, the student union and the university must work actively to improve the city for the benefit of the students.

The first time Kalmar is appointed

The award has been given out since 1999 and has never before been awarded to Kalmar.

Växjö was appointed in 2001.

On Monday, Kalmar will be praised for its award.

Among others, Sf's chairman Jacob Färner, Linnékåren chairman Ludvig Malmquist and deputy principal Niklas Ammert and municipal board chairman Johan Persson (S) will participate.
