Météo France places 25 departments on orange alert for strong winds, floods and snowfall, while storm Gérard is currently crossing the north of the country.

On the other hand, the tip of Brittany is no longer concerned by possible vigilance, while gusts of wind reaching 160 km / h have been noted in recent hours in the region.

The French will have to be careful this Monday, as storm Gérard crosses the north of the country.

On the occasion of this episode, Météo France places in orange vigilance this Monday, 25 metropolitan departments, for violent wind, snowfall and floods.

In fact, only the Pas-de-Calais department will be affected by this raw vigilance. 

Thus, Normandy, Ile de France and part of Champagne-Ardenne are placed on alert by the organization.

On the other hand, Finistère, Morbihan, Indre-et-Loire, Indre, Loir-et-Cher, Maine-et-Loire and Cher are no longer concerned by vigilance.

Storm Gérard has been crossing northern France for a few hours.

Peaks at 158 ​​km / h at the Pointe du Raz, or 148 km / h on the island of Groix in Morbihan were revealed this night.
